An event was held at Gullord Park on December 17, 2021 to celebrate $8,000 being raised to allow the City of Slayton to add two pieces of accessible play equipment to the playground. A Roxall Teeter Totter and an accessible swing have been ordered and will be installed in the spring. Thanks to Minnwest Bank, Slayton Kiwanis, Women of Today, Murray County Daycare Association, Hadley Lions, Nobles Electric Roundup Program, and Friends of the Slayton Library for contributing to the success of this campaign; and to Paul Malone, Advertising and Publicity Sponsor.
